Our Achievements
Key achievements of ZIM-ECO Project include
Development of a Capacity Development Plan for ZEC and embarking on a sustainable implementation of the plan;
Setting up of a GIS Unit in ZEC, capacitating the staff and equipping the unit enabling ZEC to develop the polling station boundaries to be used during the voter registration process;
Developing a new Voter Registration Department within ZEC based on the UNDP technical advice and strengthening of ICT positions;
Providing technical support for the Biometric Voter Registration process with development of the Operational Plan;
Training of 8,500 BVR operators with emphasis on a hands-on approach;
Leading the coordination efforts among development partners on election related projects through establishing Election Support Group.
Development and Roll Out of an innovative Voter Education Campaign.
